New Energies Parish Transition Project

Archbishop's Annual Appeal

Welcome to the parish site of St. Paul of the Cross Church.
At St. Paul of the Cross we are all sons and daughters of God
and brothers and sisters to one another. We are one community.
One family.
Spiritual growth & nourishment are the foundation of the life of
all Roman Catholics. They are also basic components of parish life.
An important part of this spiritual life is embodied in the principle
of Stewardship. Through Stewardship, we thank God for all his
blessings by returning to Him a portion of the time, talent, and
treasure He has given.
Each day a parish depends upon the generosity of the people in its
community. As Christian stewards, managers of the gifts God has
given are called to reflect God's love in our community. In a world
weakend by a flood of consumerism, we can make progress towards
peace on earth by offering loving service to others. All parishioners,
whether young or old, have special gifts to share.
Their gifts of time and talent help the parish as it brings Jesus' words of love to our world. No matter what our profession is, we are all managers of the gifts that God has blessed us with. As Christian stewards, we will be accountable to God for how we use those precious gifts. "While we live, we are responsible to the Lord. "(Romans 14:8) God will judge us on how we live and how we give, on our action and our inaction.
I invite you to browse through our site and visit our parish community.
I hope your visit is fruitful and enlightening as we walk on together
to the path of our Lord. May God bless you and keep you in His care always.

MISSION STATEMENT
In this, the 21st century, families and individuals from diverse
backgrounds have responded to the Holy Spirit and freely chosen
to come together to form one community of faith in our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ. This community we call St. Paul of the Cross.
We believe that we are gifted people, created to a life of intimacy
with God; love for each other; outreach to the poor, sick and forgotten.
Being continually nourished by God's Spirit through the Word, Eucharist,
Prayer and liturgical celebrations. We strongly believe that our richest
asset is also our greatest responsibility.
